Mauro Fadel was born in 1963 in the Swiss town of St. Gallen and he now lives and works in Oderzo, near the Italian city of Treviso. He is mainly involved in the areas of interior architecture and industrial design and he has won numerous Italian and international awards and accolades for his designs.
He began his professional career as an architect and designer by working with a wide variety of leading companies in Veneto, Friuli and Milan, many of which are in the chair, furniture and upholstered furnishings industry. A blend of creativity and rationality has always been a distinguishing feature of his outlook and his practical approach to bringing his designs to fruition.
Each of Fadel’s creations stems from an in-depth study of formal ergonomics and not only reflects the manufacturing requirements of companies but also clearly reveals everything behind it: attention to detail and careful research go into each creative step, in a development process that begins with a sketch and leads to the production of a prototype.
