Founded in 2008 by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn in the heart of Copenhagen, Norm Architects is a multidisciplinary studio working at the intersection of residential architecture, commercial interiors, industrial design, photography, and art direction. The name “Norm” itself is a tribute to the architectural and aesthetic “norms” established over centuries by great masters—a constant reference to the Scandinavian design tradition of timeless aesthetics, natural materials, and modernist principles of restraint and refinement.
The essence of their work lies in a delicate balance: between richness and moderation, order and complexity. Every project is imbued with an intrinsic simplicity that carries larger ideas, seeking that point of perfection where there is nothing left to add or take away. Rather than following trends or technology, the studio is guided by the needs of the body and mind, aiming for total sensory well-being. In this vision, architecture becomes reflective, minimalism acquires a welcoming softness, and visual matter takes on tactile and warm qualities.
Located on one of the oldest streets in the Danish capital, the studio deeply respects its cultural context, favoring craftsmanship and the use of excellent materials. The result is a portfolio of sharp, enduring works where attention to detail exudes a silent luxury. By exploring what stimulates the human senses beyond personal preferences, Norm Architects continues to bring spaces and objects back to their purest and most functional form, creating solutions that not only look good but, above all, feel good.
